Innerspring Mattresses by Royal-Pedic:
The NBD-Presidential™
innerspring mattresses features solid wood frames, using heavy duty wide slat
wood. Within that, they anchor 8-3/4 gauge coils, placing 50% more coils
in the center third, where people most need support.
Inside the mattress is the Royal-Flex Innerspring unit, an
excellent quality offset coil spring system -- featuring 85% more coils than is
standard in the industry. These open, unknotted, six-turn coils are more
flexible, which, according to the manufacturer's claim, means greater
sensitivity to body contours, better overall body support, and minimal friction.
The unit is then wrapped with pre-compressed layers of pure
cotton, which is hand-tufted in the European tradition. Tufting compresses
the layers for exceptional back support and minimizes body impressions,
according to the manufacturer.
Each NBD-Presidential™
mattress is finished with fine cotton fabric, chosen for its luxurious feel and
natural ability to ventilate body heat.

optional
7-Zone Talalay
latex cores (40% natural latex/60%
synthetic) or 7-Zone Natural Latex (97% natural). The 7-Zone core was designed based
upon
sleep studies at the Kirschgartenclinic in Basel, Switzerland by Swiss
researcher and sleep specialist, Dr. Dietrich Schneider-Helmert.
According
to the manufacturer of
NBD-Presidential™, the 7-Zone design was found to provide optimal sleeping comfort
and ergonomic support to all parts of the body. According to the
manufacturer,
the latex is certified healthy and ecologically friendly by strict European
standards (see seal, above left).
