the organic version of the Natura Sleep System™, the Organic IV. All Natura Sleep System™ products carry a 10-year limited
warranty from the manufacturer. We also offer the Naturlatex™

The Natura Sleep System™
Here is some information on the Natura Sleep System™
Organic IV:
The Natura Sleep System™ consists of 4
separate major parts. Please refer to the illustrations below as
we discuss them. Note that
some of the
photos shown below do not show the 2005 design modification (a barrier cover for the
wooden slats and latex pad that incorporates the wool topper) -- but the
photo above is current. Please
see the following illustration for a good idea of what is included:
Note that when the Sleep System arrives at your home, it will be in several boxes. You
must open these, fit together the frame, and assemble. It is very easy.
If you ordered legs, you will have to screw them on (using pre-drilled
holes). In general, some basic tools and skills are required.
In our view, assembly is almost a "no-brainer" -- but we must
include these assembly details to avoid customer surprises. Natura World,
Inc. (the manufacturer) includes
assembly instructions with all orders.

On bottom is the sturdy FRAME,
the foundation of the system. This can sit right on top of your
existing standard size bed frame, or you can attach optional maple wood
legs (at additional cost) and throw out your old frame. For the
Organic IV, the frame is constructed of solid maple and has no covering.
We show the maple wood frame just above and in an illustration below. Note that the photo shown above does not show the 2005 design modification
(a barrier cover for the wooden slats and latex pad that incorporates the
wool topper). To get a better
idea of this design change, see the two illustrations at the top of this
page. 2007 FRAME OPTION: Natura now offers a conventional base
for this bed, to fit on a conventional bed frame. The conventional
base does not ship via UPS -- call for pricing for this model.
Next up is the WOOD SLAT MATTRESS, the heart of the
Natura Sleep System™. There are dual layers of solid ash wood slats that
provide flexible, rolling support. In the Queen, for example, there are more than
172 wood slats. Slats may be removed from woven canvas pockets for customized
comfort.
 Over the wood slat mattress is the SUPPORT MATTRESS.
In the Organic IV, this is a 4" Talalay
latex foam mattress (97% natural
rubber, free from chemical resins), covered with a 100% organic

The top layer of the Natura Sleep System™
is the luxurious MATTRESS PAD. This acts as a buffer for pressure
points and keeps body temperature regulated. In the Organic IV, it
is filled with soft, pure, natural wool (from humanely-raised sheep --
Oregon Tilth Certified Organic wool) and
has an organic cotton shell.
2005
Design Modification: There is a single all-surface cover for both sides
 of the bed for the slat
mattresses and latex support mattresses. This consists of 100%
organic cotton with an inside layer of quilted natural wool (36 oz. per
square yard). The
wool topper described above is sewn directly onto this single barrier cover
to prevent shifting. There is a zipper for removal of the
cover/topper combination and a 30" top split for full headrest
adjustability. The removable cover may be spot cleaned or dry
cleaned. Note that not all photos on our website show this design
modification; Natura represents that the
modification does not change the
 basic
functioning of the Sleep System™,
but we cannot confirm that claim.

Natura Slat Technology for Personalized Comfort

Using Natura's advanced slat mattress technology, the dual layer, solid
ash wood slats create a flexible surface which conforms to your every
move. United with the support foam mattress, this layered
design provides continuous and lasting orthopedic support and optimum
comfort.

Personalized Comfort
The Natura Sleep System™ allows you to customize your mattress for a personalized fit
in four ways:
1) Two individual sleeping surfaces in one.
 Independent mattresses mean that in Full, Queen and King sizes, the mattress
conforms to your body alone. In turn, the mattress responds and adjusts to your
partner's body entirely differently. And you'll sleep soundly without ever feeling
the movement of your partner. This photo illustrates the ash wood slats
(not the finished bed with latex pad and topper, with single-surface cover discussed above). Note
that you do not sleep directly on the slats. There are two
comfortable layers between you and the slats! And if you wish, you can add an
additional mattress pad for extra softness.
2) Adjustable inner support system.
The Natura Sleep System™ contains
three built-in adjustments: a lumbar support and knee raise support for relief from back
pain, and a head rest for relaxing in bed. To better support the
neck, a Neck Contour Rise goes with the Adjustable Head Rest, so even if
the head rest is not in use, the neck is slightly elevated for natural
comfort.. Each adjustment can be personalized for
your body and your side of the bed, while your partner can set their adjustments to suit
their needs and body type. Finally, a mattress that both you and your partner can
agree upon!

3) Adjust the firmness of the sleeping surface.
Note: Some customers comment that the Natura Sleep System™ feels firm,
if they are used to sleeping on a very soft bed.
Be prepared
for this.
You may customize your mattress by removing slats underneath sensitive or
injured areas to create personalized firmness control. As noted above, you may want
to add an extra mattress pad to reduce firmness. Of course, piling on too many pads
will reduce the advantage of having the slat support system.
Note:
We make no guarantees about degree of firmness or comfort of Sleep
Systems. Those subjective measures are determined by individual
experience.
4) Temperature Regulating Pure Wool Topper.
At last, a mattress
that enables both you and your partner to be at the perfect
temperature all night long. The Natura Sleep System™ tops

plush wool topper that provides instant heat in winter and keeps you cool in the summer.
This pure virgin wool pad alleviates pressure points and boasts a reduction in
tossing and turning by over 50%.
5) Hypoallergenic Environment.

absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without ever feeling damp or clammy. Wool wicks moisture away from your body and releases it back into the environment seven
